Hubbard One's Web Center software platform allows firms to use the web to communicate effectively with target audiences and provides the foundation for content globalization, mini-site development, blog deployment, e-mail marketing and alumni and career sites.
Alumni Site
Alumni communities allow firms to maintain a direct connection with their alumni. This interaction encourages alumni to stay engaged in the firm, opening the door to referrals, new business opportunities and potential rehires. More and more firms are making a concerted effort to nurture alumni relationships, but face several communication challenges, such as maintaining up-to-date contact information, delivering value to alumni and reducing networking costs.
With the Alumni Site module, firms can develop online content that can be segmented based on office locations, topical areas, practice groups or entering class. Alumni can opt-in to a secure site to receive notifications for content that is relevant and important to them. Information is kept up-to-date through the alumni directory where each alumnus can update a profile with current contact information and professional history. Cultivating alumni relationships allows firms to demonstrate their commitment to all employees, past or present, and develop a reputation as an employee-focused firm.
Key Features
The Alumni Site module offers several key features that offer great flexibility for the firm and create a rich experience for visiting alums:
- Customizable Design – Design an Alumni Site to reflect the firm’s current brand and compliment the firm’s current website as well as overall marketing program. Homepage features may include: 1) tell a friend - allows alumni to forward other non-registered alumni information about the site and help the firm grow the number of users; 2) alumni spotlights - highlights current alumni and their work after leaving the firm; 3) upcoming events – promotes alumni networking and business development opportunities; 4) recent news - keeps alumni up to date on firm news and/or alumni news; 5) update my profile link - allows alumni to easily update their profiles through one click.
- Login/Registration - Functionality includes first time user registration, agreements to terms of use, a firm approval process, an e-mail to the alumni with login information, forgot my password functionality and updates to the user’s settings.
- Alumni Directory – The alumni directory, a primary Alumni Site feature, is a comprehensive listing of firm alumni. Each alumnus can update their profile with current contact and personal information and professional history. The alumni directory offers robust search capabilities, allowing alumni to find information based on criteria, such as employment years, practice groups or the name of an alumnus’ current employer.
- Alumni Profiles – Profiles may contain information previously maintained by the firm, such as a photo, years of service, associated practice groups, and office location(s) and may be supplemented by content entered by the alumni. All profile-related content may be reviewed and approved by the firm before publishing.
- Alumni News, Publications and Events – Alumni can submit news, events and publications through the site providing an interactive platform for alumni to communicate and assist the firm with the frequent posting of timely, relevant content. The firm may also post news, publications and events from the firm’s main website on the alumni site.
- Career Boards – Share the firm’s open positions with alumni to facilitate recruiting efforts with known, trusted colleagues. Alumni may also post job opportunities.
- Customization – The Alumni Site architecture includes the ability to create custom features and to develop custom functionality. Firms can take advantage of customization to differentiate their alumni program from other firms.
- Site Administration – As with the current main website, authorized non-technical staff can manage the alumni website’s home page content, directory, news, event information, publications and job board.
