The theme for this year's conference is Strategic Unity, a concept that resonates the need for law firms and law departments to unite their technology with the practice of law. Conference sessions will be developed around this concept, offering attendees ideas and options in creating unification strategies in their own organizations. In addition, a slate of sessions will tie into Law2020™, an ILTA multi-year, multi-platform educational programming initiative focusing on the ways in which law firms will have to adapt in order to thrive over the next decade. Saccone
Vice President, Product Management
Rob is responsible for setting the product strategy and vision across the Hubbard One portfolio, while driving the execution of Hubbard One’s product development and marketing plans. He has more than 15 years of business, software and knowledge management experience in a variety of industries including legal, energy, real estate, and financial services. Rob founded XMLAW in 2003 and grew it to become an award winning Inc 5000 business and the leader for SharePoint technology and expertise in the legal industry. A frequent speaker at legal industry and technology events, Rob has contributed to publications and authored books on software development, knowledge management and Web-based technologies.
Shawn
Samuel
Chief Architect
As chief architect, Shawn is responsible for technology architecture and strategy for Hubbard One, which includes West Monitor Suite, ContactNet and the Hubbard Business Development Suite. Prior to taking this role, Shawn was the chief technology officer of Contact Networks, having led the technology team from a startup and after its acquisition by Thomson Reuters Legal. Shawn also worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where he was a member of the Whole Genome Annotation team. He was also an architect at ATG and i2 Technologies. Shawn was a co-founder of Actuality Systems, where he developed novel volumetric rendering algorithms and is listed on one US patent. Shawn holds an A.B. Magna Cum Laude in Chemistry from Harvard College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Block Orders Execution LLC (Member FINRA, SIPC).
Bill
Decker
Delivery Manager, SharePoint Practice
As a delivery manager, Bill is tasked with leading the successful implementation of SharePoint-based Intranet, extranet and enterprise search solutions, powered by Hubbard One's OneView platforms. Bill works with many clients on a daily basis, and his responsibilities range from day-to-day project management and best practice consulting and guidance to directing both Hubbard One and client technical personnel on implementation tasks. Prior to joining the Hubbard One crew, he served as IT project manager at Bingham McCutchen LLP where he and his team were responsible for the management of all IT related projects. Bill received his Bachelor's degree in business administration from State University of New York-Fredonia and is currently studying to become project management professional (PMP) certified.
