Cuatrecasas Implements ContactNet to Unleash the Value of its Relationship Assets
Cuatrecasas Goncalves Pereira
ContactNet (ERM)
With almost a century of professional practice and an excellent reputation, Cuatrecasas, Goncalves Pereira is a leading international benchmark for all legal issues in Spain and Portugal. For a firm the size of Cuatrecasas, it is difficult for lawyers to uncover who in the firm already has a contact with a client or prospective client, which can prove to be vital information. The firm typically opens around 7,000 new matters a year, which creates ample email traffic around ‘connections.’ Cuatrecasas realized it could implement a technology solution that would solve the ‘who knows whom’ problem based on firm-wide communications, limiting the time lawyers spend tracking the information down.

Luce Forward made it a top priority to find an efficient way for attorneys and staff to access and share timely information, including client and firm financials, client contact information, and important client documents.
However, all of this important data resided in separate applications and databases at the firm. Luce Forward used InterAction for contact management, Interwoven for document management, and Rippe Kingston for financial information. The firm had shared folders on its servers and relied heavily on email to exchange information. So, Luce Forward set out to implement a comprehensive intranet solution using Microsoft SharePoint
